Mixed Leftovers LVS, AMR, WHQ, AMR, WYNN

Today was FRUSTRATING. The markets opened and ran hard and fast. I kept feeling like it was too late to catch a move up and had an overwhelming sense of uncertainty. I had pretty much missed everything before catching the short on AMR. Then I continued to have the pressure of not making a lot of money on a Dow +100 day. Seriously, I can't focus when I'm in that state. My job is to trade the perfect setups and didn't even come close to achieving that today. Also, the winning streak has officially ended.

I took another step towards swing trading, since a professional trader that I chat with keeps telling me: "The BIG MONEY is made from holding overnight". Entered with very small size and am up about half a point today. Looking for more upside tomorrow to build a cushion and "wiggle room" for the next move up. The second chart is a daily.

Turkey Masala XLE WYNN ATI OIH SU

Received my first A trade today, which was also one of my most exciting trades. I saw a range setting up in XLE and went long as soon as it broke. About 30 seconds later I hear the familiar ring when an economic report is reported on CNBC and I totally freaked out. Oil inventory numbers were out. Price jumped as soon as the report came out and I had to quickly change over to 1-min. charts. I exited the position at the first sign of momentum slowing.

XLE = A

WYNN = C

ATI = B

OIH = F

A Nice Home Cooked Meal NMX, CLE, WYNN

Today was a mild day on the markets as participants awaited the coming Fed decision. This mildness should continue up to the announcement tomorrow at 1115am PST.

The trades today were NMX (grade B), CLE (grade D), and WYNN (grade C).

Earthen WYNN, BCS, YUM

Today was very interesting as the Nonfarm Payrolls report was released prior to mkt open. The indices started selling off and I had already gotten stopped out of my long WYNN position (Grade: D). Then I went long BCS as it was holding near its OR bar high. I also decided to put on a short position in case the overall mkt was going to continue selling off. Found YUM breaking its OR bar to the downside.

BCS continued to rise as the markets sold off and quickly reached the 61.8 Fib extension. Then the markets turned around and started to rise. I saw my YUM short move back up and decided to cover at that point. Trade details can be found within each screenshot.

Overall it was a good day profitwise. I am still working on proper position sizing (esp. on the WYNN trade). OR bar was almost 1.5 points wide and should have only been entered with 100 shares, but I got caught up as that sucker was moving quickly. Next week proper position sizing will be the top area of focus. This week I was able to NOT trade the afternoons, which helped keep my P/L on the + side.
